Photography

I started to love photography because of a subject I took in school. As an organizational communication major, we are required to learn how to communicate certain messages with the use of still images; hence, the imperative photography class (FOTOCOM) that I need to enroll myself in. But I'm not really complaining, I always loved FOTOCOM among all the major subjects I took. It was actually one of the subjects that I really REALLY looked forward to. If it wasn't for this subject I wouldn't have appreciated this awesome art.

Since then, I was hooked in taking photos. I'm still an amateur though and I still do not consider investing on lenses. I'm just fond of taking pictures whether it is a scenic place or just plain cool stuff that is worthy to be photographed.

I know I still don't have watermarks in my photos but everything is all owned and copyrighted by me, Kim Dy.

First few set of photos I photographed

This is the favorite photo I took when I attended a charity event for Metrobank Card Corporation (this is where I interned last summer, BTW). I always dreamed of taking a black and white close-up photo of a less fortunate kid's face but I guess, no opportunity presents itself for me to go to the slums and take photos. So I guess for now, this would do.

These photos were taken in Tagaytay. See the rainbow in the first photo?

I took this photo when we visited the Presidential Yacht at some port in Manila. Rule of thirds never fails.

This one I took in Roxas Boulevard. Oh! I love silhouette shots! It looks so beautiful and dramatic.

This photo is taken outside of New Bilibid Prison in Alabang. We went there 'cause its my mom's client for some construction project. So as I wait for her, I decided to take photos. Going to NBP was like being in the exact set of Prison Break Season 1, for real!

We went to La Union last January 28, 2012 to visit my Tita. We went to her amazing resort and I was able to take another set of awesome photos.

Then I saw this kid enjoying and playing with the sand. I did not think twice of approaching him just for me to take these photos of him.

Last February 11, 2012, I went to the 3rd PyroMusical Competition with Bianca for her supposed writing class and of course, I had my camera with me. I took some shots of the awesome awesome fireworks display of the two competing countries that day, Malta and South Korea. Most of the shots I got was from South Korea 'coz when Malta started their display, my camera ran out of battery! BUMMER!

Yoohoo, CEBU! :) Yes, I went to Cebu last February 27, 2012 with my family. We were there for four days and the heat was just INTENSE! We also went to Bohol since its just an hour travel via Star Craft.
Of course, this trip wouldn't have been complete if I don't have my camera with me. And yes, I took as much photos as I can! Fortunately, I have a bunch that is worthy to be added here in my "portfolio".
